The dance instructors contribute a great deal of their personal time to club activities. Each of these people are involved, one way or another, in planning our instruction, finding new dance material through various sources, practicing routines to the point of exhaustion, and then providing wonderful and caring instruction to members of our club. Basic instruction is carried out in six week sessions with each class lasting one hour and fifteen minutes. Beginning dancers are taught enough Two-step, Triple-step, East Coast Swing, and Waltz so that, with some practice, they can be comfortable in any "social dancing" environment. During the basic session, one or more instructors teach while other instructors and advanced dancers help anyone who is having difficulty.
Each night a line dance or pattern dance is taught. This session is open to intermediate level dancers and, at the discretion of the instructor, is usually open to beginning dancers as well.
Following the Basic Class, Intermediate dance is taught with Advanced following that. Each of these classes is forty-five minutes in length. These classes are only open to members who have completed Basic Instruction. The dance patterns taught are on another page at this site.
