NEW SCHEDULE TO GO INTO EFFECT FOR SESSION ONE 2006.

The dance committee has proposed and the Board of Directors approved a new schedule of classes for this coming session. Time changes have been made for ALL of the classes offered by MWCC. The changes are as follows:

5:15 - 6:00 Line dance lessons

6:00 - 7:15 Basic couples dancing

7:15 - 8:15 Advanced basics

8:15 - 9: 15 Intermediate/advanced

Please note these times so as to cut down the confusion on the first Sunday of the session.

Midwest Country Connection, Inc. is a Country Western dance club located in Columbia, Missouri. The purpose of the club is to promote, encourage and teach Country Western dance. The club meets on Sundays at the American Legion at 600 S. Legion Lane in Columbia. The club was formed in July of 1991 and is a Missouri not-for-profit corporation. The club operates under its bylaws with an elected Board of Directors and Executive Officers. All operations of the club are done by the generous donation of time by the members.

Since the club was established, we have had over 1,400 people involved. Our membership list is over 1,300 with over 125 active members. Our instructors trained over 175 new dancers in calendar year 2005.

All dance instruction is done by members who are part of the Dance Committee. Many of the instructors are members of the National Teachers Association and the Missouri Professional Country Dance Association
